Barack is playing the media for fools

Last night, my wife groaned as Countdown came on. I was in the kitchen, and poked my head in.
"Again?" she said.
Rev. Wright was on the screen during the promo bit at the beginning.]
Then we watched KO deliberate with Richard Wolfe and friends as to whether BO was getting into a feud with the reverend, whether Wright was jealous of BO.
Seems pretty bizarro, right?
Wrong. Barack is playing the media right where he wants them.
Rev. Wright is getting into a small spat with BO on purpose.
Hear me out here.
He's allowing Barack to shake his head, and allow his old pastor to claim he's just another politician, so Barack can distance himself while still appearing to be the bigger man.
In fact, given the recent spate of media coverage for the Reverend Wright, and his upcoming book tour, I'm going to do one better here.
I predict that before this latest manufactured spat is through ... the Reverend Wright, "disappointed" at the distancing that Barack will do in the next few days to weeks, will endorse Hillary Clinton.
That's going to put Clinton in a bind. Either she rejects Wright as well, making her seem petty, or she accepts the endorsement and loads herself with everything she projected onto the Reverend.
In fact, the Reverend Wright will use his book tour ... are you ready for this ... he's going to use his book tour to encourage african american voters to pull the GOP lever as a protest against Barack's "betrayal." Sen. Obama, having allowed the media to erect a briar patch called "Reverend Jeremiah Wright," is going to throw John McCain into it.
And McCain will face the same dilemmna. Either he alienates swing voters by rejecting an endorsement, even a back-handed one, or he looks like a ridiculous hypocrite now that he too has criticized Wright. Either way, he loses tons of votes.
When even KO is spouting nonsense, you know someone is being played. And that someone is not Senator Obama.
